Ivalo. Ivalo is a service village by the Ivalojoki River, close to Ivalo Airport. For a personal holiday, the important question is how your chosen accommodation connects to the days you want.
Separate arrival convenience from daily convenience
A straightforward airport transfer does not guarantee easy journeys throughout the holiday. Mark the accommodation, food options and main activity meeting points before deciding whether you need transfers or a rental car.
Build one complete day before filling the week
Take your most important activity and work backwards: breakfast, dressing, pickup and the programme. Then work forwards: return travel, a meal and rest. Repeat the process before adding another fixed departure. This reveals whether the base works for your party.
Plan beyond the accommodation photograph
For a villa or cabin, ask how meals, grocery shopping and provider collections work. For a hotel, check what is included in the stay and which services are separately booked. Keep the questions specific to your address and dates.
Plan your next step
Accommodation booked and need 2–5 planned days at one base for up to six travellers? The €290 Activity Plan may fit. If you also need accommodation recommendations or a wider route, use the service finder. Talvia plans remotely; you check availability, book and pay providers yourself.
